Ken Kadet (that’s me) is a communications consultant who delivers strategic communications that move people.
Before founding my own practice, I worked for more than 15 years with some of the world’s biggest and best communications and public relations agencies, advancing the causes of dozens of clients from emerging businesses and non-profits to corporate giants — a list that includes Kodak, Imation, Northwest Airlines, Rockwell Automation and CommVault Systems.
During more than a decade with Fleishman-Hillard, I led the agency’s Twin Cities technology practice and consulted with clients in brand positioning, media relations and effective use of the web and social media. My agency career began with Padilla Speer Beardsley in Minneapolis, where I worked with high-tech and manufacturing clients.
Since founding Kadet Communications in late 2007, my accomplishments include:
- Re-positioning a mid-sized software and consulting company with new branding and messaging, revitalizing sales and marketing.
- Recommending navigation and writing copy for two new corporate websites.
- Consulting and serving on the advisory board for a marketing entrepreneur, providing counsel on communications, marketing and business that spurred development of a new business model.
- Creating new messaging, recruiting materials and the first marketing plan for a private school, supporting a strong year for new admissions.
- Establishing a marketing communications strategy for a next-generation technology product launch.
- Translating a brand positioning program into a brand communications guidelines for worldwide marketers.
- Developing creative positioning for a new technology line to help marketers differentiate individual offerings within the brand.
- Conducting the media launch for a highly popular new Twin Cities restaurant.
